Common questions.
Do I need internet to play?
No. Every case is fully playable offline. The website adds hints, audio interrogations, and the reveal film as optional extras. None of them are required to solve the case.
How long does a case take?
About two and a half hours. Some groups solve it in 90 minutes. Some take an entire evening over dinner. Both are right.
How many players?
One to four. It is best as a conversation between two to four people. It works solo if you like the format.
What age is it for?
16 and up. The cases involve murder, fraud, infidelity. Nothing graphic, but the themes are adult.
Can I play a case more than once?
Each case is meant to be solved once. After that, it is a beautiful artifact you can pass to a friend who has not played it.
Are the cases connected?
Each case stands alone. We may, over time, plant returning characters or shared world details. You will never need to have played an earlier case to enjoy a later one.
Where is it made?
Designed, printed, and assembled in Canada by a small team. Every kit is stamped, numbered, and quality-checked by hand before it ships.
Do you ship outside Canada?
For now, the kit is sold through Amazon.ca for Canadian customers. International availability is on the roadmap.
Refunds?
Standard Amazon refund policies apply when you buy through Amazon. If something is wrong with the physical kit on arrival, send a photo to hello@coldinkcasefiles.com and we will replace it.
