Description
Someone murdered Augustus Thorne on his own private island. It was one of the people at your table.
Gus flew his family and closest insiders to paradise to celebrate, and to rewrite his will before anyone flew home. He never got the chance. By sunset he was slumped over his favorite martini, and every guest had a reason to want the pen to stay dry.
Meet the suspects
Nine guests. One of them is a killer. Every player gets a character to become, a public story to tell, and a secret worth hiding.

Two ways to get it
- Digital Download ($19): the complete kit as print-ready PDFs, delivered instantly. Print it at home tonight and host whenever you like, again and again.
- Printed and Mailed ($49.99): we print the whole kit on quality stock, sort it, and ship it to your door. Open the box and host. Shipping included.
Hosting the digital edition without spoiling it
Yes, the host can play, and even win, with the instant download. The answer hides in only two places in your files, and both are easy to avoid, so you can set up the entire night and still learn who did it for the first time at the reveal. Here is exactly how it works.
- The Solution downloads as its own separate file (clearly named “HOST SPOILER – Solution”), and it is not inside the main kit. Simply never open it. Print it last and face down, or just read it from your phone at the very end of the night.
- Do not read page 2 of the character booklets while you print. Page 2 of each booklet is that character’s sealed Act Two insert, and one of them belongs to the killer. Print the booklets, fold them closed, and do not peek. Everything else in the kit, including the host guide, all the evidence, and every party printable, is completely safe to read and names no one.
- Seal everything as you set up. Use the included envelope labels to make nine envelopes. Slide each character’s page 2 into its envelope, sealed and unread, and seal the Solution in its own envelope. Now nothing in front of you reveals the killer.
- Then host the night. Hand out the Act One pages, run the evening with the host guide and read-aloud cards, and the sealed Solution is opened and read aloud only at the very end.
Two ways to play as the host. Play the victim and return after the murder as the neutral Detective, who reads the Solution aloud for the first time at the end. Or, to compete as a suspect, give yourself a suspect role and ask a trusted guest to play the victim and read the sealed Solution at the end, so you stay as blind as everyone else.
Your download also includes a printable Read First: Print Without Spoilers guide that walks through every step. Read the full setup guide (PDF) before you buy. Prefer zero fuss? The Printed Edition arrives in the mail already printed and sealed. Open the box, set out the envelopes, and play.
Why this one is different
- The host can play. Most kits spoil the ending for whoever runs the night. This one seals the answer away, so the host sets up the envelopes and then plays to win alongside everyone else. The murdered host even returns as the Detective and reads the solution at the very end.
- Evidence that looks real. No game-y stamps or pointers. The documents look exactly like the real paperwork, so you solve it by noticing, like a real detective.
- A fair, solvable mystery. One killer, one answer, and clues that genuinely point to it. Three suspects look guilty, but only one is. It never comes down to a lucky guess.
- Dress up without a tuxedo. Tropical-resort chic: linen, sunglasses, a statement piece. Easy, fun, and nobody has to rent a suit.

The details
- Players: 6 to 9 guests, and it plays great at 8. It scales down cleanly using the included optional characters.

- You will need: a few drinks and a table of friends. The digital edition also needs a home printer and 9 envelopes.
Common questions
Whats the difference between the two editions? The digital edition is an instant download you print yourself. The printed edition arrives in the mail, already printed and sorted, ready to host.
How many people do I need? 6 to 9. It is built for 8 suspects plus the host, and the Host Guide tells you which characters to drop for smaller groups.
Can the host play too? Yes, that is the whole point. You seal the answer in an envelope during setup, then play to win like everyone else.
Is it reusable? Yes. Host it as many times as you want for your own parties. Please do not resell or redistribute the materials.
